Building Your Summer Bucket List

Although June has come and gone, there’s still time to make the most of your summer. Creating a bucket list is a great way to decide what activities are a “must-do” before September. But how do you make the most of the time you have left? Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Learn a new skill

There are many free resources available online that can teach you anything you want to know. Learn to code, speak french, write in calligraphy, or make homemade ice cream. The possibilities are endless!

Do things you loved doing as a child

This could include having a water balloon fight, sleeping in a tent in your backyard, roasting s’mores, going to a drive-in movie, making bird feeders, having a picnic, doing sidewalk chalk art, and so much more. Invite your friends and family to join and bring back the magic of summer!

Take time to unplug

Recharge your batteries by taking the time to enjoy nature without the constant bombardment of the digital world. You could go on a hike, go camping, or simply find a botanical garden to enjoy. If you want to use your phone for pictures, put it on airplane mode so no notifications come through.

Start a new project

Use these next few weeks to work on that big project you’ve been wanting to do but haven’t had time for. This could be a blog, Youtube channel, art, or a remodeling project. Make small, attainable goals you can check off each week. Just getting started will make you feel motivated to continue.

Build a new habit

This could be reading, exercising, drinking water, journaling, or eating better. It can take as little as 21 days to form a habit, so if you stay committed and follow through every single day starting right now, you’ll accomplish this before the end of the summer!

Take the time to write down your bucket list in your planner, then schedule the activities and goals to assure you cross everything off. What do YOU want to accomplish this summer? Share your plans in the comments below!
